Bhubaneswar, 3rd July 2020 : Odisha government has decided to start online classes for colleges and universities from July 13. As per reports, the Director of Higher Secondary Education has asked all the principals of the higher secondary schools in the state to prepare online content for students and to start the classes soon.
The state government has asked the undergraduate colleges to form a WhatsApp group and an e-mail group of students for the classes. Each group should not exceed 32 students. Further, the Higher Secondary Education department has asked the schools to follow rules and advisories issued to fight against coronavirus and to start the online classes.
Online classes to be conducted for three days a week
The online classes will be conducted for three days a week. Teachers will take the classes for 2 to 3 hours a day. The classes will be conducted on different tools and applications like Google Meet, Skype, Zoom, etc. Further, teachers are asked to maintain an attendance register for students who will be attending the classes.
Meanwhile, the Odisha board has taken the decision to cancel the remaining class 12 board exams that were scheduled to be conducted from March 23 to March 28. The decision was taken due to the ongoing coronavirus outbreak.
